Thanks for coming along and following me on my crab orgy episode. The photo-shoot is scheduled to take place June 14 and things are coming along. (Hopefully the weather will cooperate, it's not the same indoors, but we will make it wonderful )
So far I've been gathering all of my table-top items and making lots of lists. I've gone around to some of the local Ct home furnishing and antique shops to borrow anything that's missing in my own cupboards and even borrowed some driftwood from a friend. I met with the photographer and went over all of the shots that the magazine editor has requested. So you will see everthing, from prep to setting to eating.
Sorry, hope you won't just get hungry, but maybe you'll try your own crab orgy.
Or take steamed Maryland Blue Crabs along on a picnic for two.
One of the best things to cover the table with is butcher's wrap paper.
You want to cover the table to protect it when eating the crabs. The crabs are eaten right on the table, which gets pretty messy. I love the peach brown color of the butcher's paper. At the NY Gift Show this past winter, I discovered a linen company called Ulster Linens. ulsterlinen.com They were nice to supply me with the checkered napkins.
I checked my list for the following:
